This data-rich paper pulls together the multiple threads of GREASE’s indicators initiative. The authors begin with an overview of previous research on indicators of a similar nature (state-religion governance, religiously inspired radicalisation/violent extremism, etc). They then describe the data and methods used to produce the GREASE indicators, critically review the results and offer suggestions for future research.
